Eli Z. Byler, 94, of 108 Summit Hill Rd., Paradise, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at his home. Born in New Wilmington, he was the son of the late Benjamin Z. and Mary Zook Byler. He was the husband of Mattie Byler Byler and the late Emma Byler Byler who died in 1995. Eli worked many years for Strasburg Pallet and had a market stand at Green Dragon. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: 7 children, Phoebe married to Christ Fisher, Cadiz, KY, Dan married to Emma Byler, Paradise, Dave married to Emma Byler, Newburg, Jonas married to Sarah Byler, New Holland, John married to Michele Byler, East Fallowfield, Sally Ann Byler, Lancaster, and Ben married to Miriam Byler, Myerstown; 38 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 7 step-children, Albert Schmucker, Katie Schlabach, Fannie Yoder, John Schmucker, Esther Schmucker, Freeman Schmucker, and Harvey Schmucker; a step-brother, William Byler; a step-sister Lydia Byler. He was preceded in death by: 2 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 daughters, Mary, Lizzie Ann, and Lydia Byler; a son, Samuel Byler.
Funeral services will be from the Jacob Fisher residence, 3 Spring Rd., Paradise, on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 9 am. Interment in Bart Cemetery, Georgetown. Friends may call at the Jacob Fisher residence from the time of this notice till the service. Kindly omit flowers.
