Elmer K. Fisher, Sr., 81, of 19A Reservoir Rd., Strasburg, passed away at his home on Monday, March 24, 2014. Born in Leola, he was the son of the late Stephen U. and Sarah King Fisher. He was the husband of Susie Lapp Fisher. Elmer was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: four sons, Samuel L. husband of Susie Glick Fisher, Elmer K. husband of Malinda Blank Fisher, both of Strasburg, Stephen F. husband of Fannie Blank Fisher, Paradise, Amos K. husband of Annie Zook Fisher, Hopkinsville, KY; three daughters, Malinda L. wife of Henry L. Fisher, Peach Bottom, Katie L. wife of Ben S. King, Ephrata, Sadie L. wife of Leon L. Fisher, Ronks; 60 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rebecca Glick, Bird-in-Hand, Sarah wife of Ben Beiler, Nine Points; two sisters-in-law, Sadie Fisher, Kirkwood, Sarah Fisher, Ronks. He was preceded in death by: three brothers, Amos, Aaron and Stephen Fisher; one sister, Katie Stoltzfus.
Funeral services will be held from the Elmer K. Fisher, Jr. residence, 19 Reservoir Road, Strasburg on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 9 AM EST with interment following in Bunker Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the late home from the time of this notice until the service. Kindly omit flowers.
