     Elmira Snader, 88 years old, resident of Landis Homes, Lititz PA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014.

     She was the wife of the late Daniel E. Snader, who passed away in 2000. Born in Honey Brook she was the daughter of John F. and Barbara G. (Sensenig) Shirk.

     Elmira's last employment was taxi driver for the Amish retiring in 1998. Previously, she had worked at various sewing factories throughout her life. She enjoyed embroidering baby quilt tops that she donated to Landis Homes Benefit Auction for many years.  She also enjoyed going to auctions and had a love for collecting glassware, chinaware, and dolls.  Elmira can be remembered for her pleasing personality and sweet smile.

     Elmira was a member of East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church in Lancaster where she served in the Sewing Circle for many years making quilts for relief.

     She is survived by her six children: Miriam married to Simon Musser, Columbia; Dorothy, Narvon; Joyce married to Eugene Weber, Stevens; Daniel, Lancaster; Darlene married to Donald Sandoe, Narvon; and Charles married to Lisa, Nebraska; and a brother Paul Shirk, Lititz . She had eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one son Lester and two sisters and three brothers. She will be greatly missed by family and close friend Melvin Martzall.

     The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Landis Homes West Bethany Chapel, 1001 E. Oregon Rd., Lititz, with Pastor Todd Friesen and Pastor Glen Roth officiating.  There will be a visitation with the family at the chapel at 10:00 AM on Wednesday and a viewing at the West Bethany Chapel on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  A private family burial will take place prior to the memorial service.
