Elvin L. Martin, 87, of New Holland, Pa., went home to be with his Lord on Friday, July 19, 2013 following a short illness. He was married to his loving wife, Marian Neff Martin for 64 years.
Elvin served Christ and the Church in many ways, including Washington D.C., Atlanta, Ga., Florida and Middletown, Pa. At different times, he also worked for his grandfather’s meat company, Ezra W. Martin Co., Bridgeport. He was a member of the Lancaster Brethren in Christ Church.
He was the son of the late Paul G. and Eva Witmer Martin. Surviving besides his wife are: one daughter, Pat Eberly (Dan); two sons, Ron Martin (Nancy) and Tom Martin (Sandy); eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a sister, Alma (Harry) Hertzler. His brothers and sister, Paul C., Millard L. and Marla A., preceded him in death.
Burial will be private. The memorial service will be announced and published at a later date. Memorial contributions are welcomed to: the United Zion Retirement Community, 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
