Emma L. Esh, 90, of 142 Queen Rd., Gordonville, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at home. Born in Narvon, she was the daughter of the late Jonas E. and Emma Lapp Stoltzfus. She was the wife of the late Enos Esh who died in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by: five sons, Jonas E. husband of Fannie Zook Esh, Richmond, IN, J. Daniel husband of Anna Huyard Esh, Paradise, Joseph S. husband of Sadie Smucker Esh, Lancaster, Simeon J. husband of Lydia King Esh, Benuel S. husband of Mary Stoltzfus Esh, both of Peach Bottom; six daughters, Elizabeth S. wife of the late Jonas Zook, Lancaster, Mary S. wife of the late John Stoltzfus, Leola, Barbara J. wife of Benjamin B. Esh, Emma S. wife of Bennie M. Kauffman, both of Christiana, Bena S. Esh, at home, Katie S. wife of Henry F. Stoltzfus, Peach Bottom; a daughter-in-law, Sarah K. wife of Amos Beiler, Gordonville; 100 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; seven step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: a son, Enos Jr. and an infant son; six brothers, Daniel, Joshua, Jacob, Jonas, John and Christ; two sisters, Mary Miller and Katie Stoltzfus; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at the late home on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 9:00 AM EST. Friends may call from the time of this notice till the service at the late home. Interment in Gordonville Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
