Gideon E. Fisher, 76, of 267 North Star Rd., Ronks, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Ronks, he was the son of the late Jacob S. and Sarah Stoltzfus Fisher. He was the husband of Rebecca Esh Fisher. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: ten sons, Isaac married to Rachel King Fisher, Ronks, Jacob married to Rachel Stoltzfoos Fisher, Quarryville, John married to Katie Stoltzfus Fisher, Ronks, Henry married to Salome Stoltzfus Fisher, Nottingham, Gideon, Jr. married to Barbara Glick Fisher, Leola, David married to Lavina Stoltzfus Fisher, Honey Brook, Samuel married to Fannie Miller Fisher, Quarryville, Daniel married to Ada Stoltzfus Fisher, Parkesburg, Levi married to Katie Lapp Fisher, Strasburg, Amos married to Rachel Stoltzfus Fisher, Willow Street; a daughter, Sarah married to Amos E. Beiler, Manheim; 70 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are: five brothers, Benuel S. Fisher, Bloomsburg, Levi married to Lizzie Fisher, Jacob married to Rachel Fisher, David married to Barbara Fisher, all of Strasburg, Samuel married to Annie Fisher, Ronks; sisters, Mary Smucker, Gordonville, Lydia married to John Stoltzfus, Sarah married to Henry Beiler, both of Leola, Annie married to Daniel Stoltzfus, Lititz; sister-in-law, Rachel Fisher, Ronks. He was preceded in death by: a brother, Amos E. Fisher; a sister, Malinda F. Stoltzfus; a great-grandson, Samuel Stoltzfus.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016, 9:00 am at the late home. Viewing: at the late home from the time of this notice till the service. Burial will take place in the Beiler’s Cemetery, Ronks. Kindly omit flowers.
