Gideon L. Riehl

Gideon L. Riehl, 89, of 215 Snake Lane, Kinzers, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at his residence. Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Jesse B. and Emma S. Lapp Riehl. He was the husband of the late Rebecca B. Lapp Riehl. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He is survived by children; Sarah L. Riehl of Kinzers, Emma L. wife of Benjamin Kinsinger of Ephrata, Susie L. Riehl of Kinzers, Leah L. wife of Emanuel Beiler of Peach Bottom, Fannie L. Riehl of Kinzers, David L. husband of Arie Stoltzfoos Riehl of Kinzers, John L. husband of Lydia Beiler Riehl of Peach Bottom, Malinda L. Riehl of Kinzers, Menno L. husband of Lavina Stoltzfus Riehl of Kinzers; 36 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Beiler of Bird-in-Hand, Katie King of Lancaster, Annie Beiler of New Holland, Fannie Ebersol of Bird-in-Hand, Susie wife of Aaron Ebersol of Leola; brothers, Christian L. Riehl of Quarryville and Jesse L. Riehl of Lititz.

He was preceded in death by a son, Christian L. Riehl; sisters, Mattie Riehl, Racheal Riehl and a brother Menno Riehl.

The funeral will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at 9:00 AM EST at the home of David L. Riehl, 228 Springville Rd., Kinzers. Friends may call from the time of this notice till the service at the late home. Interment will be in Spring Garden Cemetery.
