Gladys M. Weaver, of Leola, passed away on her 76th birthday, August 13, 2016 at Lancashire Hall. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Sadie Weaver.
She grew up at Weaver’s Orchard, worked at various sewing factories and was employed at Shipley Oil as manager of Highland Acres. She enjoyed baking and helping her granddaughters at market. She was known by her family as the ” Weather Mom”. Gladys attended New Life AOG and she would always have her radio tuned to Southern Gospel Music.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Eberly of Leola and Donna wife of Norman Stoltzfoos of Denver. Her grandchildren will remember how she loved each one of them; Charity wife of Josh Brubaker, Hope wife of JR Glick, Phil fiancé of Alexis Angelucci, Joey, Caleb, Faith, Abby and great-grandson, Jase Brubaker. Also surviving are brothers, Allen Weaver and Harold (Ida) Weaver; previous husband, James Leroy Eberly. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marian.
The family will greet friends on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola from 6-8:00 pm.
