     Jacob J. Fisher, 85, of 2052 Spring Hollow Rd., Strasburg, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at his home.  Born in Ronks, he was the son of the late Jacob S. and Sarah Stoltzfus Fisher.  He was the husband of Rachel (Blank) Lapp Fisher and the late Barbara Esh Fisher who died in 2006. A retired farmer, Jacob was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

     Surviving in addition to his wife are: 9 children, Sarah married to John Stoltzfus, Marshall, IN, John married to Annie Esh Fisher, Montezuma, IN, Malinda married to Menno Beiler, Trenton, KY, Annie married to John Esh, Quarryville, Mary married to Samuel Stoltzfus, Peach Bottom, Jacob married to Barbara Glick Fisher, Quarryville, Rebecca married to Amos Stoltzfus, Bird-in-Hand, Barbara married to Elam Stoltzfus, Conestoga, Susie married to Samuel Esh, Airville; 2 daughters-in-law, Bena wife of the late Abner Fisher, Strasburg, Fannie married to Samuel Fisher and the late Isaac Fisher, Ronks; 3 step-children, Joseph married to Lydia Lapp, Kirkwood, Mattie married to Ben Fisher, Paradise, Barbara married to Christ Esh and the late Levi Stoltzfoos, Airville; 88 grandchildren; 36 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

     Also surviving are: siblings, David (Barbara) Fisher, Strasburg, Mary (late Daniel) Smucker, Gordonville, Sarah (Henry) Beiler, Leola, Annie (Daniel) Stoltzfus, Lititz; brother-in-law, John Stoltzfus, Bird-in-Hand; 2 sisters-in-law, Annie Fisher, Rebecca Fisher, both of Ronks. He was preceded in death by: 2 sons; a granddaughter, Sarah; 7 siblings, Benuel, Amos, Levi, Gideon, Samuel, Malinda Stoltzfus and Lydia Stoltzfus.

     Funeral services will be from the late home on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 9 am with interment following in Beiler’s Cemetery.  The viewing will be at the late home from the time of this notice till the service.
