Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Heise, age 80, of Leola/Bareville, died at LGH on June 6. She is survived by her children, Jennifer, Joshua and Timothy, and three beloved grandsons, as well as two sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Originally from Long Island, Jackie met her husband David at SUNY Brockport, where they went on to combine teaching and farming. Moving to Lancaster in the 80s, she was a greenhouse worker, Montessori teacher, nursing home activities coordinator, and in the craft dept at SKH. As a GIS mapper, she worked for the County of Lancaster. Once affiliated with Our Lady of Lourdes, New Holland, she became a valued member of Zion Lutheran Church in Leola.
A memorial service for Jackie will take place at Zion Lutheran Church 18 Quarry Rd., Leola on Saturday June 15, 2024, at 11:00 am, with visitation starting at 10:30 am.
