James D. Myers, 92, of New Holland went home to be with his Lord, Saturday, April 27, 2019. He was the son of the late J. Leon and Margaret Youndt Myers.
Jim graduated from Upper Leacock High School in 1945 and joined the Army Air Corp. For many years, he owned and managed Wissler's American, Ephrata. After selling the business he worked for Bob's American Used Cars, Ephrata. After his retirement, he spent hours tinkering and driving his 1966 Rambler American.
As a resident of Welsh Mountain Home, he attended Mountain Spring Mennonite Church. Prior to that, on Sunday mornings, Bible in hand, he would be seen jogging from Ephrata to Carpenter Community Church. On Sunday evening he often attended Berean Bible Church.
Jim devoutly studied the Scriptures and shared his thoughts with many including this: “No viewing nor funeral, realizing I'll be back when Jesus returns with his saints" (1 Thessalonians 4).
He is survived by two brothers, Robert (Jacqueline), Lititz, and Douglas, Lake Forest, CA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Galen.
