James Haldeman, 67, of 116 E. Main Street, Leola, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy. Born in Lebanon, PA, he was the son of the late Oliver and Betty Blough Haldeman. He was the husband of Gloria M. Haldeman. James worked in the construction industry. He was a member of the New Holland Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed going to Penn National Race Course. He was a lifelong friend of the Blank family
Besides his wife, he is survived by: children, Ellie wife of Bill Poulas, Jamie Lynn Haldeman both of Carlisle, Jimmy Henny, Gary Henny both of Bainbridge; step-son Lloyd Decker fiancé of Virginia Tharp of Coatesville; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Jane wife of Kenneth Crills , Janet wife of Lloyd Ebersole both of Manheim . Also surviving are Christa and Kyle which he loved and raised as his own. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Haldeman and a brother, Earl Haldeman
The funeral will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 West Main Street, Leola. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Eby Cemetery, Leola.
