Janet M. Diem, 77, of 119 School Rd., Leola, PA entered into rest on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at home after an illness of four years. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Ralph G. and Frances Cook Rowe. She was the loving wife of Reed E. Diem. They would have been married 57 years on May 25th.
Janet was an elementary school librarian for the Cocalico School District primarily at Adamstown Elementary for over 30 years, as well as a volunteer librarian at Leola Public Library for many years. She was a member of Thrive Community Church (formerly 1st Baptist Church of Lancaster) where she was mission chairman, a member of American Baptist Women, and part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She also attended Cedar Run Baptist Church, Lycoming Co. She enjoyed bowling at Dutch Lanes (Tri-Town Church League) and Rocky Springs; was a volunteer at New Holland Farm Show; enjoyed crocheting; and spending time at the family mountain home in Slate Run, PA. Janet was an avid photographer who participated in the Pine Creek Artisan Shows for the past decade in Lycoming County.
Janet will be lovingly missed by her husband; and her children, Jodi Mowery, Leola, and Erich Diem, Millersville. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Rowe.
A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice & Community Care or Thrive Community Church.
