Jeanne M. Wallen, 88, of Lancaster went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Conestoga View nursing home. She was widow of the late L. J. Wallen of Homosassa, Florida. Born in Shamokin, PA, she was daughter to Harry and Grace Miller. While living in the Danville, PA area, she worked as a physical therapist aide; moving to Homosassa FL later in life, she worked until retirement (2006) as a home health care aide. She then returned to PA, to live closer to family, until her death. Jeanne loved to bake, garden, do crossword puzzles and read; she spent many a day at the beach with family.
Jeanne attended Three Rivers Presbyterian in the Homosassa area until she returned to PA, where she became a member of the Millersville Mennonite Church. She is survived by her brother, David Miller (husband of Dorothy Kreiger, Lake Worth, Florida). She was preceded in death by her three siblings — Percy Miller, Helen Hollingsworth, and Elizabeth Ladnier.
Jeanne is survived by four of her five children: Andrea Davis (wife of Barry) of Lancaster, Cindy Clarke (wife of Timothy) of Harrisburg, Tammy Hailey (widow of J. Michael) of Chambersburg, and Michael (husband of Denise) of Warrenton, VA. Her oldest daughter, Michele Milam of Shillington, preceded her in death. Jeanne had fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
