     John D. Petersheim, 78, of 66 N. Weavertown Rd., Ronks, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.  Born in Ronks, he was the son of the late Christian U. and Emma Lapp Petersheim. He was the husband of Sarah Stoltzfus Beiler Petersheim and the late Mary Kay King Petersheim.  John was a retired farmer and worked at the New Holland Sales Stables for 50 years. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

     Besides his wife, he is survived by: children, Susie wife of John Zook of Dornsife, PA, Melvin husband of Annie Stoltzfus Petersheim of Manheim, John D. Jr. husband Ruth King Petersheim of Bird-in-Hand, Benuel husband of Betty Ann Beiler Petersheim of Ronks, Annie wife of Wilmer Smucker of Holtwood, Moses husband of Priscilla Stoltzfus Petersheim of Manheim, Rachel wife of Stephen Stoltzfus of Quarryville, Christ husband of Barbie King Petersheim of Ronks, Mattie Petersheim of Ronks, Sarah wife of Samuel Beiler of Paradise, Stevie husband of Sadie Fisher Petersheim of Ronks; step-children, Katie Beiler of Narvon, Barbie wife of Omar Riehl of Lykens, Verna wife of Alvin Riehl of Narvon, Mary Ann wife of John Esh of Narvon, Ruth wife of Jonas Ebersol Jr. of Bird-in-Hand; 79 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Benuel husband of Rebecca Riehl Petersheim of Lititz, Christ husband of Rachel Riehl Petersheim of Oxford, Amos husband of Sadie Stoltzfus Petersheim of Gordonville, Melvin husband of Elizabeth Stoltzfus Petersheim of Elizabethville; sisters, Katie and Sadie Petersheim of Gordonville, Annie wife of John King of Christiana, Emma Stoltzfoos of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by: an infant son; grandson, Melvin Petersheim Jr.; a step-grandchild; sisters, Mary Zook and Susie Petersheim.

     The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at noon EST at the residence of Christ K. Petersheim, 72 N. Weavertown Rd., Ronks. Friends may call from the time of this notice till the service. Interment will be in Myer’s Cemetery.
