John D. Stoltzfus Sr., 90, of 130 Brick Church Rd., Leola, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025 peacefully at home. Born in Leola, he was the son of the late Amos M. and Katie Stoltzfus Stoltzfus. He was the husband of Katie Smucker Stoltzfus. They were married for 68 years. Mr. Stoltzfus retired from Groffdale Concrete Walls and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Also surviving: nine children, Amos married to Linda Lapp Stoltzfus, Naomi married to the late Elam Lapp, both Millersburg, John D. Jr. married to Edna King Stoltzfus, Leon married to Mary Ann Lapp Stoltzfus, Leroy married to Sadie Zook Stoltzfus, all Leola, Mary married to Emanuel Zook, Kinzers, Eli married to Barbara Grace Lantz Stoltzfus, Rachel married to John Lantz, both Gordonville, David married to Jen Lyndaker Stoltzfus, Washington Boro; 65 grandchildren; 210 great-grandchildren; siblings, Levi (Sadie) Stoltzfus, Parkesburg, Stevie (Malinda) Stoltzfus, Leola, Amos (Naomi) Stoltzfus, New Holland, Fannie (the late Alvin) Lapp, Gap, Rebecca (Daniel) Beiler, New Holland, Rachel (Gideon) Beiler, Lancaster; sister-in-law, Priscilla Stoltzfus, Mifflinburg; brothers-in-law, Eli (Priscilla) Lapp, IN, Benuel Stoltzfus, Kinzers. He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Sadie Stoltzfus; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Allen, Lillian, and a stillborn; brothers, Christ and Jacob; sisters, Mary, Katie and Elizabeth.
Funeral Services: 9 a.m. EST, Monday, July 28, 2025 at the home of Leon Stoltzfus, 120 Brick Church Rd., Leola. Interment: Stoltzfus Cemetery, New Holland. Friends may call at the home of Leon Stoltzfus from the time of this notice until the time of service.
