John K. Stoltzfus, 88, of 121 W. Center Square Rd., Bird-in-Hand, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at his home after a brief illness. Born in Bird-in-Hand, he was the son of the late Levi E. and Fannie King Stoltzfus. He was the husband of the late Lydia Fisher Stoltzfus who died in 2021. A dairy farmer and chair shop worker, he was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by: 8 children, Fannie married to Isaac E. Stoltzfus, Lincoln University, Jacob F. married to Hannah Stoltzfus Stoltzfus, Oxford, Sarah married to John Glick, New Providence, Lydia married to Daniel U. Glick, Kirkwood, Levi E. married to Naomi Esh Stoltzfus, Isaac F. married to Emma King Stoltzfus, Amos F. married to Sadie Fisher Stoltzfus, all of Bird-in-Hand, Daniel F. married to Sadie Glick Stoltzfus, Kirkwood; 66 grandchildren; 151 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia wife of the late Samuel Fisher, Loganton, Sadie wife of the late David Stoltzfoos, New Providence; brother-in-law, Jacob Smucker, Paradise.
He was preceded in death by: a son, John K. Stoltzfus, Jr.; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Amos Stoltzfus; sisters, Rebecca Zook, Barbara Beiler Kanagy; Fannie Stoltzfus, Rachel Fisher, and Malinda Smucker.
Funeral services will be held from the late home on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 9 am EST with interment following in Upper Millcreek Cemetery. The viewing will be at the late home from the time of this notice till the service.
