John L. Miller, 81, of 160 Center Square Rd., Leola passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025 at Wellspan-Ephrata Community Hospital. He was the husband of the late Rebecca B. King Miller who died in 2024. Born in Upper Leacock Twp., he was the son of the late Elam and Rachel Stoltzfus Miller. A member of the Old Order Amish Church, Mr. Miller was a retired farmer.
Surviving are: seven sons, Elam K. married to Lavina K. Lapp Miller, Peach Bottom, Daniel K. married to Fannie K. Lapp Miller, Quarryville, Aaron K. married to Sarah Stoltzfus Miller, Cochranville, Enos K. married to Mattie Zook Miller, Leola, John L. Jr. married to Sarah Stoltzfus Miller, Oxford, Isaac K. married to Mary Smucker Miller, Kirkwood, Omar K. married to Lydia Blank Miller, New Providence; a son-in-law, Aaron married Rebecca Stoltzfus and the late Anna K. Miller, Quarryville; two daughters, Sylvia married to Levi Fisher, Argyle, WI, Rachel Miller at home; 101 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Isaac husband of the late Sarah Beiler Miller, Elam married to Mary Esh Miller, both of Christiana, Aaron married to Lydia Blank Miller, Leola, Melvin married to Fannie Lapp Miller, NY; two sisters, Sarah married to Aaron Fisher, Ronks, Annie married to Samuel Stoltzfus, Christiana; a sister-in-law, Arie Glick Miller, Ronks; a step-brother, Henry married to Sarah Fisher Beiler, Leola.
He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Anna Stoltzfus; a grandson, Amos Miller; a stillborn granddaughter; a brother, Benjamin Miller.
Funeral Services: 9 a.m. EST Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025 from the late home with viewing there till the service. Interment: Upper Millcreek Cemetery.
