     Joseph F. “Joe” Moeller, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 20, 2024 after a two-year battle with cancer.  Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Rose (Knoblauch) Moeller.

     He attended Our Lady of Grace Elementary School, Penndel, and graduated from the Class of ’67 at Neshaminy High School, Langhorne.  He won a gymnastics scholarship to Tennessee State University but in instead enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps, where he served in Viet Nam. He obtained an associate’s degree at Bucks County Community College, Newtown.  He was a U. S. Letter Carrier for 37 years. Joe was a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, and loved watching old westerns on TV. Joe was known for his sense of humor and pranks.

     Joe is survived by: his wife of 50 years, Mary Anne (Rutter); his sons, Joseph A. (husband of Melissa Meyers), Marietta, GA, Michael F. (husband of Megan Hertzog), Lancaster, Gregory A. Moeller (companion of Jenna Alexander), Leola. He loved his grandchildren and was proud of their accomplishments: Morgan, Colin, Melanie, Scarlett, Felix, Kaia, Justin and Isabella. Also surviving are his siblings: Pat White, Mary Schrag, Rose Kearns, and Matthew Moeller.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas.

     The family would like to thank the staff of Caring Hospice for their support and care.

     A memorial service will be held from the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2 pm. The family will visit with the friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service. Private interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
