     Joseph J. Wann, Sr., 66, of Ephrata, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late George H. and Gertrude Ryan Wann.  He was the husband of Denice Wanner Wann. After High School, Joe served in the U. S. Navy.  He worked at various jobs, mainly, C&D Battery in Leola, and Dart Container prior to that.  Most recently, he worked as a van driver for the Conestoga Valley School District.  An avid drummer, he played in several local bands, including “Fang.”  He also enjoyed fishing and traveling.  He was a member of the New Joy Church, Ephrata.
      Surviving in addition to his wife are: four children, Joseph J. Wann, Jr. of Florida, Jared Wann of Manheim, Desiree J.Wann-Fryberger, wife of Howard Fryberger, Jr. of Christiana, Danette Wann of Ephrata; four grandchildren, Kasey, Tristan, and Ashley Wann, Noah Fryberger; four brothers, George H. Wann of Florida, Glenn Wann of Leola, John E. Wann of Lancaster, William H. Wann of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Lynn D. Lugo and Kathryn Iannacone, both of Lancaster.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Bowman, and a brother, Richard Wann.
