Joseph James Eberly, 30, of Leola, PA, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, November 30, 2025. He was the loving husband of Danae Bitterman Eberly and caring father to Jason James and Thea Kay.
He was the son of Sharon K. Eberly, wife of Lamar Baumgardner and son-in-law of Grant and Joanne Bitterman. He was the brother-in-law to Darlene, wife of Nate Neustadter, David and Heather Bitterman, Deborah, wife of Brant Driedger, Deanna, wife of Alex Funk and Daniel and Shay Bitterman.
He was preceded in death by: grandparents, James LeRoy and Jane Eberly and Gladys Weaver.
He graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School and currently working for Pacer Pumps. Joe enjoyed family time, playing D&D and playing games with his friends.
A viewing will be held at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, PA on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4-7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Eberly Family Cemetery, 630 Clearview Road, Ephrata, PA at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 6, 2025. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local emergency services.
