Judith L. Duffy, 75, of Leola, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014. Born in Spring City, she was the daughter of the late John and Avis Setzler Kandler. She was the wife of the late James S. Duffy, Jr., who died in 2006.
Over the years, Judith held several jobs including bank teller, and more recently working in accounts payable with Chemgro. She was a member of St. Stephen Reformed Church in New Holland. She was an avid reader and gardener, loved to travel, collect antiques, and was active in the Widow to Widow Program.
Surviving are: a daughter, Kerry L. Swartley of Birdsboro; two sons, Christopher R. husband of Cathy Latschar Duffy of Brownstown, David M. husband of Cindy Horst Duffy of Leola; 9 grandchildren; a brother, Theodore husband of Janet Kandler of Limerick. She was preceded in death by a son, James S. Duffy, III, and a brother, Jack Kandler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 3 PM from St. Stephen Reformed Church, 249 E. Main St., New Holland. The family will visit with friends from 1 to 3 PM at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Hospice and Community Care P. O. Box 4125 Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
