Lena E. Lapp, 61 of 244 Mentzer Rd. New Holland, died Thursday, September 11, 2014. She was the daughter of David and the late Rebecca Smoker of New Holland and the loving wife of Benuel Lapp. They celebrated their 43rdanniversary a few days before she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Lena and her husband were owners of Lapp Valley Farm where they lived and sold their dairy products for the past 39 years. She was a faithful member of the Summitview Christian Fellowship Church.
Also surviving are 3 sons, all in New Holland: David, married to Ruth (Lapp) Lapp, John, married to Jolene (Stoltzfus) Lapp, Jonas, married to Leah (Zook) Lapp; 3 daughters: Leona, married to Matthew Raber, Antrim, OH, Lydia, married to Paul James Zook, Blackville, SC and Esther, at home in New Holland; 4 sisters, Anna Mary Stoltzfus, Sadie King, Lydia Stoltzfus, and Faith Fisher. She was also the loving grandmother of 22 grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at the Weavertown Amish Mennonite Church, 2900 Church Road, Bird-in-Hand, PA on Saturday, Sept. 13thfrom 1-4 and 5-8 P.M. The funeral will be held at the same location on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 2:00 P.M. Interment at Summitview Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. All are welcome.
