Leroy S. Beiler, 86, of Garden Spot Village, formerly of Strasburg Pike, Strasburg, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Born in Upper Leacock Twp., he was the son of the late Reuben and Emma (Stoltzfus) Beiler. He was the loving husband of Edna Mae Glick Beiler. They would have been married 62 years in October. Leroy worked as a clerk for Zimmerman’s Hardware, Strasburg for 33 years. Prior to that, he farmed for 11 years.
Mr. Beiler was a past member of Bart Mennonite Church where he served as an elder; current member of The Church at Timberline, Strasburg; volunteer at Strasburg Community Ambulance Association; past manager at West Lampeter Community Fair; and volunteered for Christian Aid Ministries. He enjoyed bee keeping and gardening.
In addition to his wife, he will be lovingly missed by: three sons, Dale married to Barbara Graybill Beiler of Strasburg, Larry married to Terri Bauman Beiler of Manheim, Loren married to Karen Nolt Beiler of Strasburg; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Naomi married to the late Aaron Beiler of Denver, Marie married to the late Henry Zook of Wakarusa, IN, Ruth married to Dave Martin of Pine Falls, Manitoba, CAN; brother, Paul married to Elsie Beiler of Paradise. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Stoltzfus.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016, 11:00 am at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557. Viewing: Friday, August 19, 2016, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Garden Spot Village Chapel. There will be no viewing Saturday.
