Lydia S. Zook, 77, of 1064 Georgetown Rd., Paradise, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Rachel Stoltzfus King. She was the wife of Joshua L. Zook Jr. for 55 years. A member of the Old Order Amish Church, Mrs. Zook worked with the elderly providing in home care.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: children, Alvin married to Mary Jane Fisher Zook, Strasburg, Sadie married to Sam Stoltzfus, Esther married to Amos Stoltzfoos, both New Holland, Dan married to Linda Lantz Zook, Paradise; 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Malinda (the late Elam) Huyard, New Holland, Leah (Amos) Esh, Leola, Naomi (the late Andrew) Beiler, Holtwood, Miriam (Amos) Beiler, IN, Sarah (Christ) Petersheim, Airville, Emma (Ivan) Fisher, Gordonville, Mary (Ira) Beiler, Scranton; sister-in-law, Rachel King, Strasburg. She was preceded in death by: two infant children; a granddaughter, Leona Joy Stoltzfoos; siblings, Elam and Daniel King, Fannie Beiler.
Private services and interment in Bart Cemetery, Georgetown, at the family’s convenience.
