Mabel D. Smoker, 79, of Honey Brook, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. She was the loving wife of Calvin L. Smoker. They were married 60 years last November. Born in Honey Brook, Mrs. Smoker was the daughter of the late Aaron J. and Elsie Mast Zook.
She and her husband were the owners of Calvin L. Smoker Builder Inc. and Honey Brook Custom Cabinets Inc. over the years. A member of Forest Hills Mennonite Church, Leola, she enjoyed ceramics, embroidery, sea shelling and trips to Florida.
She will also be lovingly missed by: her children, Richard (wife Kim), Honey Brook, Beverly Smoker, Morgantown, Ronald (wife Amy), Glenmoore, Larry, Narvon, Mona Lu Shuman (husband Kerry), Narvon; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, John (wife Velma) Zook, Orrville, OH, Marvin (wife Melva) Zook, Red Lake, Ont., Leroy Zook, Narvon; sisters, Mary Ruth Zook, Narvon, Verna Stoltzfus, E. Earl, Mim (husband John) Stoltzfus, Cranberry, Martha Zook, Narvon.
The funeral will be 11a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at the Chapel at Tel Hai Retirement Community, 1200 Tel Hai Circle & Beaver Dam Road, Honey Brook with viewing from 10-11 a.m. Interment: Eby Cemetery, W.
