Marianna K. Pirrung, 78, of Leola, passed away on Thursday, Mar. 7, 2013 after an illness. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Naumann Kinzel. Mrs. Pirrung was a secretary at the former Sperry New Holland company, and also worked at the Landis Valley Museum in the general store. She enjoyed history especially Civil War history; was a reenactor; also a lifetime volunteer serving the American Red Cross, the CV Children & Youth Panel, Leola Ambulance and the Republican Committee. She loved her miniature schnauzer, T. J. She will be missed by her sons, Eric married to Mimi Pirrung, New Holland, Ed Pirrung fiance’ of Leah Davis, Lancaster; five grandchildren, Molly, Grant, Emma, Noah and Evan. The memorial service will be Monday, Mar. 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Landis Valley Museum (in the Yellow Barn), 2451 Kissel Hill Rd., Lancaster. Greeting time with family: 1-2 p.m. Monday.
