Martha L. Peachey, 94, formerly of E. Ross St. Lancaster, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Pleasant View Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Paul D. Peachey who died in 2010. They were married 69 years. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Phares B. and Mamie Ziegler Lefever.
Martha was a homemaker and a member of Ross Street United Methodist Church where she was a tireless volunteer.
She is survived: three sons, P. David Peachey, Jr., husband of Fay, Ephrata, Frank Daniel Peachey, husband of Roberta, Lancaster, Timothy L. Peachey, husband of Barbara, Landisville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister Evelyn Sinner; a brother Phares (Bud) Lefever. She was preceded in death by siblings Mary, Luetta, Alice, John and Frank.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11 am from the Ross Street United Methodist Church 312 E. Ross St. Lancaster, PA 17602, with interment following in Conestoga Memorial Park. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 am, all at the church.
