Mary Elizabeth Hoover, 93, of Ephrata Manor, formerly of White Horse, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, June 12, 2017. Born in Marticville, she was the daughter of the late John Huber Hess and Elizabeth Pries Hess. Mrs. Hoover was the wife of the late Charles C. Hoover who died in 1996.
A member of the Limeville United Methodist Church, Gap, she enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Jr. married to Angela, Haines City, FL, Maribeth married to Daniel King, Mount Joy, Nancy married to Robert Hornberger, Honey Brook, Ellen married to Paul Combs, Boise, ID; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard married to Edith Hess, Maytown. A daughter, Susette Zimmerman; brothers, David and John Hess; and a sister, Beulah Miller preceded her in death.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Marticville United Methodist Church, 641 Marticville Rd., Pequea, PA. Interment: the adjoining cemetery. Viewing: 10-11 a.m. Friday.
