Mary S. Kauffman, 71 joined her heavenly father on June 16, 2019. Mary passed quietly at home with her husband and family by her side.
Mary, daughter of Lydia P & Amos Z. Stoltzfus, was born on April 14, 1948 in Honey Brook, PA. Mary was joined in marriage to David G. Kauffman on April 13, 1968 and had the honor of celebrating 51 years together. Mary was an active member at Weavertown Amish Mennonite Church and participated in many church activities, including Sewing Circle. Mary was a school bus driver for Weavertown Mennonite School for 40 years and enjoyed the many students on her route. She also served with dedication and purpose as a Volunteer EMT with her husband at Gordonville Fire & EMS for 41 years.
Mary is survived by her family, including siblings, Ann and Ray Yoder, Stephen and Mary Etta Stoltzfus, Barbara and Nelson Shrock, Ivan and Daria Stoltzfus. Mary also was a devoted mother to her 5 sons, D. Glenn, Lauren R. and Glenda, Stephen L. and Valerie, Michael J. and Sarah, Anthony L. and Jody. Mary also enjoyed being grandma to her 7 grandsons and 9 granddaughters. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brother David Stoltzfus and son Stanley L. Kauffman.
Mary will always be remembered for faith, devotion and service to everyone she knew. She was a faithful servant to Jesus and a steadfast witness to his word.
Viewing and funeral services to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at Ridgeview Mennonite Church. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 18th between 1-3:00 pm and 5-8:00 pm. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 10:00 am.
