Melvin K. Fisher, 50, of 3833 White Oak Rd., Paradise, PA passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at the Florida Integrated Medical Center, Sarasota, Florida. He was the son of Benjamin L. Fisher and the late Emma King Fisher and step-son of Katie Zook Fisher. Born in Ronks, Mr. Fisher was a carpenter for Fisher Brothers Siding. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Also surviving are: siblings, Sadie married to Christ Stoltzfoos, Strasburg, Ephraim married to Katie Petersheim Fisher, Rebecca married to Christ Miller, Ruth married to Reuben Beiler, all Paradise, Miriam married to David Stoltzfus, Jesse married to Lydiann Blank Fisher, both Gordonville; step-brothers and step-sisters, Nancy married to Emanuel Fisher, Chester married to Emma King Zook, both Lykens, Eli married to Fannie Stoltzfus Zook, Quarryville, Arie Lyn married to Benuel King, Newburg, Sadie married to Leroy Stoltzfus, Leola, Joshua married to Linda Peachey Zook, Quarryville, Rebecca married to Isaac Lapp, Gordonville, Gideon married to Emma Mae King Zook, Christiana, Jonas Zook Jr., Paradise.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by: a brother, Elmer K. Fisher; paternal grandparents, Phares and Rebecca Fisher; maternal grandparents, Ephraim and Sarah King.
The funeral is now confirmed and scheduled for Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at 9 a.m. at Ephraim Fisher’s, 4003 White Oak Road, Paradise with viewing there from the time of this notice till the time of service. Interment will be in Bart Cemetery, Georgetown. Kindly omit flowers. Furman’s – Leola.
