Myrtle (Shearer) Harry, 84, of Leola, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016. Myrtle was the daughter of the late Samuel and Miriam (Fahnestock) Shearer. She was the loving wife of the late Richard “Dick" Harry who died in 2005.
Dick and Myrtle owned and operated Harry's Furniture Center, Leola. Myrtle's favorite past-times, besides her family, were sharing her home with friends for her weekly prayer meetings, working outside in her flower beds and holding the annual family pool parties.
She is survived by: children, Dale Harry, Rich married to Gini Harry, Donna married to Fred Massar, all of Leola, Diane married to Dennis LaMonica, Brownstown, Deb Crouse, North Wales, PA, Edward Hopes, Mountville; grandchildren, Janelle Harry (fiancé Brad Bender), Ryan Massar (fiancée Nicole Groff), Jared Massar, Michael Hopes, Jeremy married to Danielle Crouse, Dana Crouse; great-grandchildren, Gavin Hartsock, Hannah Mendez; brothers, Paul and Ken Shearer. In addition to her husband, Myrtle was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy D. Harry and her brother, J. Earl Shearer.
Funeral Services: Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster with viewing from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Interment: Bareville Cemetery.
