     Paul E. Hossler, 81 years old, went home to be with Jesus on January 30, 2014, 5 1/2 months after the diagnosis of Pancreatic cancer.  He was a wonderful and faithful husband and father, and dearly loved by his wife and children. 

     He was born July 15, 1932 in West Donegal Twp., near Elizabethtown.  Paul was the son of Witmer W. and Esther May Ebersole Hossler.  He attended Hershey High School and completed an apprenticeship for electricians at Armstrong and Kerr Glass.  For many years, he worked at Anderson Bakery, the last 17 years as the manager for the electrical and maintenance staff.

     He grew up attending Elizabethtown Mennonite Church until moving to Lancaster after marriage.  Paul attended East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church where he served on the property commission, as a youth leader, and song leader over the years.  Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, working, repairing anything, and helping others.  He was known for his generous spirit.

     He married Martha Hege in 1955 and they were married for 58 years, 11 months.  Paul had one son, Loren D. married to Audrey King Hossler and one daughter, Kendra Hossler Goodman.  He had two grandchildren, Kyle Hossler and Kelly Hossler, of whom he was very proud. Also surviving is a sister, Ruth Hossler Martin. 

     A memorial service will be held from the East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church 432 East Chestnut St. Lancaster, PA 17602 on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11 AM.  The family will visit with friends from 10 to 11 AM at the church. Private interment will be in Good's Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Hospice and Community Care P. O. Box 4125 Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or to East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church.
