Rachel K. Allgyer, 85, of 391 Old Mill Dr., Gap, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at home. Born in Leola, she was the daughter of the late John and Leah King Lapp. She was the wife of J. Emanuel Allgyer. Rachel was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are: eight children, John husband of Mary Yoder Allgyer, New Holland, Ben husband of Anne Fisher Allgyer, Leola, Leon Allgyer, at home, Emanuel J. husband of Rebecca Stoltzfus Allgyer, Perry County, Hannah wife of Samuel J. Beiler, Gap, Christ husband of Cindy Smucker Stoltzfus Allgyer, Dauphin County, Ada Ruth wife of Samuel S. Blank, Bird-in-Hand, Earl husband of Anna Mae Lantz Allgyer of Gap; 42 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; four brothers, John husband of the late Melinda King Lapp, New Holland, Samuel husband of Sarah Dienner Lapp, Leola, Benjamin husband of Verna Stoltzfus Lapp, Narvon, Chris husband of Anna Mary Esh Lapp, Paradise; two sisters, Rebecca wife of the late Isaac Petersheim, Perry County, Leah wife of John Beiler of Narvon.
She was preceded in death by: a grandson, Christopher Lee Allgyer; three granddaughters, Jennifer Rose, Valerie Joy, Diane Renee; two brothers, Amos and Aaron; two sisters, Katie and Annie.
Funeral services will be held at the home of Sam and Hannah Beiler, 393 Old Mill Dr., Gap, PA on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11 AM. Interment in Millwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the late home from the time of this notice until the service. Kindly omit flowers.
