Ray Jones, 73, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Lancashire Hall. A son of the late Edward and Lena Bowman Jones, Ray had worked for Victor Weaver/Tyson, New Holland for many years and had attended New Holland Mennonite Church. He enjoyed sprint car races and car shows.
Surviving are: two brothers, Walter husband of Nancy Jones, Lewisburg, Melvin Jones, Narvon; a sister, Grace Hershey of New Holland; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Marlin “Whitey" Jones, and a sister, Lois Funk.
Funeral: 11 AM, Monday, Oct.13, 2014 at 11 AM at Furman Home for Funerals 59 W. Main St. Leola. Interment: New Holland Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing: 10 to 11 AM Monday at Furman's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care.
