Rebecca E. Smoker, 84, of 1622 Springville Road, New Holland, PA, went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2013. Born July 15, 1929, she was the daughter of Daniel F. and Rachel Stoltzfus Esh. She was the wife of David Z. Smoker for 65 years, and was a member of Summitview Christian Fellowship, New Holland, PA.
Besides her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Anna Mary, wife of Jacob Stoltzfus, Brownstown, PA, Sadie, wife of Jonas King, Mifflin, PA, Lena, wife of Benuel Lapp, Lydia, wife of Jonathan Stoltzfus Jr., Faith, wife of Joseph R. Fisher, all of New Holland, PA; two brothers, Stephen (Esther) S. Esh and John D. (Anna) Esh, Narvon, PA; two sisters, Barbara (the late Ammon) Stoltzfus, Elverson, PA and Lena (Daniel) Esh, Gordonville, PA. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Jonas, Amos, Daniel, a stillborn brother, and David; one sister, Sadie; one grandchild and four great grandchildren.
There will be viewing on Thursday December 26, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Summitview Christian Fellowship, 200 Summitville Rd., New Holland, PA and funeral services on Friday, December 27, 2013, 10:00 AM at same location. Interment: the adjoining cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
