Richard C. Mark, 77, of Leola, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clair and Nellie Timlin Mark. He was the husband of Jane Keener Mark.
He was a retired United Methodist pastor, having served parishes in Gap, Highville, and Washington Boro. Most recently he worked for Stauffers of Kissel Hill. He was a member of the Worship Center, Lancaster, and was active in the Faith that Works Ministry.
He was an avid baseball fan, having played APBA Baseball for 30 years. He was a member of the Lancaster Barnstormers Booster Club and a season ticket holder since the team’s inception.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: a son, Randall husband of Shawn Phelps Mark of Feasterville; a granddaughter, Rachel Mark; a sister, Beverly Ann Zink of Mount Joy; two brothers, James husband of Margaret Mark of Mountville, Troy husband of Vicki Mark of Berlin, MD. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Mark, and a sister, Betty Jane Hershey.
A memorial service will be held at the Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service.
