Richard K. Greener Sr., 81, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 after a brief illness. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Albert Greener Sr. and Beatrice Lippus Greener. He was the loving husband of Helen Hoffman Greener. They were married on Dec. 22, 1956.
Mr. Greener worked for the City of Lancaster. After that, he was the assistant building engineer for the School District of Lancaster retiring after 20 years. He enjoyed: fishing, especially at the Chesapeake Bay; cooking and eating seafood; animals and wildlife; and drives through the county park.
In addition to his loving wife, he will also be missed by: three children, Susan Lynn Greener, Terri Ann wife of Brian Leaman, both Lancaster, Richard K. Greener Jr., Mount Joy; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Albert Greener Jr., Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a grandson; two brothers; and two sisters.
Private interment services in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
