Richard L. Fisher of Lititz, 54, went to be with His Heavenly Father on October 31, 2015. He was the son of Dorothy Fisher and the late Amos F. Fisher. He was the husband of Karen Martin Fisher with whom he celebrated 16 years of marriage this year.
Rick was a highly-skilled cabinet maker. He used this God-given talent to not only make a living but to bless others with his abilities including his church. His handiwork can be seen throughout Calvary Baptist Church of Greater Lancaster. He was currently self-employed.
Rick was an avid sports fan. He loved to cheer and watch the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Rick spent a lot of his time helping others and his church. He served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and in Bible Clubs as the Fun-Time Director.
In addition to his wife and mother, Richard is survived by: his four children, Aaron Fisher (Julie), Rose Arvieux (Benjamin), Rebekah Bergeron (Adam) and Benjamin Fisher (Samantha); three grandchildren, Ethan, Kenneth and Kensington; and a sister, Tammy Marks. Also surviving are his biological siblings, Robert McComsey, Betsy Bush, Sandra Weit, Freda Gordon, Debbie Speck, Carl McComsey, Vicky McComsey and Judy McComsey.
In addition to his father, Richard is predeceased by his first wife, Nancy, of 15 years.
Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church of Greater Lancaster, 530 Milton Rd., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Friday, November 6that 11 a.m. with Pastor John Jewers officiating. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing: from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Deacons' Fund to help families in need.
