Richard M. Dyson, 88, of Luther Acres, Lititz, PA, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at his residence. Born in Taylor, PA, he was the son of the late Jenkin and Frances Kellich Dyson. He was a maintenance mechanic at the Picatinny Arsenal , Wharton, NJ. After his retirement, Richard would sell his woodworking creations at local craft fairs. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and was past Post Commander of Post 91, Wharton, NJ. He was a past Commissioner of American Legion Baseball in Morris County, NJ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and athletics of all kinds, but what brought him the greatest joy was the love he shared with family and friends.
He is survived by: children, Gregory J. husband of Karen K. Dyson of Fort Montgomery, NY, Debora J. wife of Douglas Bell of Lancaster, PA; grandchildren, Major Matthew E. Dyson, Sarah L. Martin, Craig D. Bell, Drew D. Bell and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Jean E. Dyson, his wife of 57 years, one brother and two sisters.
