Richard R. “Dick” Ruoss, 99, of Leola, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2024. Richard was the son of William and Lillian Ruoss. Dick was married to the love of his life, Dorothy M. Spence Ruoss for 75 years. Dick and Dorothy were married on June 29, 1947 and Dorothy preceded him in death on December 7, 2022.
Dick was a World War II veteran and served in the Navy. He was last employed at Miller Chemical and Fertilizer Company where he worked for over 30 years. He has been a faithful member of Salem Hellers Church in Leola.
Dick is survived by his sons, Richard (spouse Terri) and James (spouse Christina); his daughter, Kathy (spouse Donald); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Brianne, Nicole, Allison, Evan, Jenna, Sophie, Daniel, Michael and Mary as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may pay their respects from 10 AM to 11 AM on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Salem Hellers Church, 2555 Horseshoe Rd., Lancaster. His service will follow at the church at 11 AM and a graveside service will follow at Zeltenreich’s cemetery, New Holland.
