Robert D. Terry, 83, of 52 Timberline Drive, Leola, formerly of 298 E. Main St. Bareville, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care, Lancaster. He was the husband of Wilma Scheeler Terry. Born in East Mauch Chunk, PA, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Anna Schultz Terry. He was a U.S. Army veteran and owner of Bob Terry’s Garage, Bareville for 40 years. He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Wilma; four children, Rhonda Lawthers companion of James McKinley, Chadds Ford, PA, Robin married to Tim Ardinger, Leola, Wayne Terry, Jacksonville, FL, William Terry, Lancaster; four grandchildren, Adam and Erica Lawthers, Kelly and Kacy Catalano. Robert was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Lancaster. He and Wilma were members of the Dutchland Polkateers and the Swing Thru Square Dance Club. He was a past member of the Bareville Fire Company and had enjoyed bowling. The memorial service will be held at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 750 Greenfield Road, Lancaster, PA 17601 on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 3 PM with the Rev. Mark Russell officiating. The family will greet friends from 2-3 PM at the church. Interment of ashes will be in the adjoining memorial garden. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the church at the above address.
