Rodman C. Martin, 73, of 1541 Zarker Rd., Lancaster, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Rohrerstown, he was the son of the late Clarence W. and Dorothy Boyer Martin. He was the husband of Carol L. Hoffmann Martin for 53 years. Rod was a retired salesman at Ziemer Buick and Turner Buick. He was a leasing manager at B. Z. Mellinger Ford and worked at the former RCA in the tube division. He was an avid fisherman. Rod was a former member of the Donegal Chapter of Trout Unlimited and loved to fish the Susquehanna for small mouth bass. He also collected antique lures and taking trips to Atlantic City.
Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, Douglas R. Martin and Bryan C. Martin, both of Lancaster; a daughter, Kimberley J. wife of Darren M. Reynolds of Leola; a grandson, Ethan M. Reynolds; a brother Clarence husband of Carla-Donna Martin of Lititz; a sister, Doris wife of John Bair of Leola and mother-in-law, Louise Hoffmann of Lititz.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at noon at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, PA. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 27 from 6-8 pm and 11-noon on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Presbyterian Cemetery.
