Ronald L. Miller, 78 of Hopeland (formerly of New Holland & Ephrata) passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. He was born October 11, 1937 in New Holland, the only child of the late Clarence and Hilda (Lausch) Miller.
He was a machinist by trade, employed by Black and Decker and Food Craft. After retirement, he continued working at New Holland Auto Group where he made many friends in the community. He enjoyed the beach, Nascar and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ronald is survived by five children, Julie Dilbeck, Ephrata, Lori (Alan) Simpson, Lee's Summit, MO, Lisa (Gregg) Swartley, Mohnton, Jeffrey (Karen) Miller, Denver and Melissa (Cris) Miller, Hopeland; 7 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon (Herman) Miller.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main Street, Leola. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home, followed by the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Ray Voran officiating. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens, Ephrata.
