Russell Lee Snyder of Lancaster, 64, passed away Mar. 7, 2013 at the Lebanon VA Hospital. He was the husband of Ellen Yonkoske Tobie Snyder. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of Amanda May (Beck) Snyder of Leola and the late Victor Andrew Snyder. Russell was a US Marine Corps Vietnam veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf and had a love of old cars. In addition to his mother and wife, Russell is survived by his son, Robert Snyder, New Providence; his daughter, Sheri Yohe, Lancaster; stepdaughters, Marcy Diem, Lititz, Karen Costomiris, Mequon, WI, LuAnn Meinberg, Suwanee, GA; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sister, Rita Waltz, Leola; brothers, Randolph Snyder, Lancaster, Richard Snyder, Red Lion and Roy Snyder, Jonestown. Friends will be received at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, PA, Tuesday March 12, 2013 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Mar. 13th at Leola United Methodist Church, 7 W. Main St., Leola at 10:00 AM with viewing beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment: Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, PA.
