Samuel S. Esh, 87, of 5609 Strasburg Rd., Gap, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at home. Born in Leacock Twp., he was the son of the late Amos and Anna Smoker Esh. He was the husband of Naomi Smucker Esh. Mr. Esh was the owner of Esh Sales and Rentals and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are: two children, Anna M. wife of Benjamin Glick, Gap, Samuel S. Jr. husband of Susie Stoltzfus Esh; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elias husband of Anna Huyard Esh, Intercourse, Jonathan husband of Mary Stoltzfus Esh, Gap; three sisters, Sarah wife of John King, New Holland, Rachel wife of Reuben Stoltzfus, Talmage, Naomi wife of Paul Zook, Narvon; son-in-law, John L. husband of Ruth Hertzler Beiler, Waveland, IN. He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Mary Beiler; two sisters, Barbara Beiler and Annie Esh.
The funeral will be Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Benjamin Glick residence, 5607 Strasburg Road, Gap. Interment will be in Millwood Cemetery, Gap. Friends may call from the time of this notice till the service at the late home. Kindly omit flowers.
