     Sarah S. Riehl, 76, of Cochranville PA passed away peacefully December 5, 2024.  Sarah was born in Bird-in-Hand, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Jacob L. and Leah F. (Stoltzfus) Riehl.

     In her younger years, Sarah worked at Ruhl’s Greenhouse in Smoketown, PA for a period of time.  From 1974 to 2007, she worked as a custodian at Victory Chapel, Atglen, PA, where she also was a member of the church.  Sarah moved to Christiana in 1990 and worked at Whitelock & Woerth Inc. from 2007 until the time of her illness.

     Sarah loved flowers and in her spare time could often be found tending her flower beds or weeding and mulching her mother’s flower beds.  She also loved birds and would faithfully feed them over the winter months.

     She will be lovingly missed by her longtime boyfriend, John Ennis, of Cochranville, PA; a daughter: Rose Ann, wife of Graham Greenawalt, Bird-in-Hand, PA; 4 grandchildren: Burris Z. Phillips, Cortlynn R. Phillips and Kailey M., wife of Steve Gonzales, Landon Greenawalt.  Sarah is also survived by siblings, Katie King of Gordonville, PA; Hannah, wife of Phares Lapp of Ronks, PA; Jacob Jr., husband of Elizabeth of Strasburg, PA; Jonas S, husband of Emma of Bird-in-Hand, PA; Lena S., wife of the late Henry Yoder of Kirkwood, PA; Menno, husband of Marian of Mount Joy, PA; Mary Ann, wife of Emanuel Esh of Lancaster, PA; sister-in-law, Ruth Ellen Riehl, NY.  She was preceded by her brothers, Eli Riehl and Levi Riehl.

     Prior to her illness, Sarah attended the Worship Center, Lancaster, PA.

     The family appreciates the exceptional care given to Sarah by Amber, her primary caregiver over the past 1 ½ years.

     Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at the Worship Center 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA  17601 on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024 at 11 a.m.  The family will greet friends after the service. Burial will be private at Paradise Mennonite Cemetery, Paradise, PA.
