Sarah Stoltzfoos, 90, of 281 Hess Rd., Leola, PA entered into rest June 29, 2016 at her home where she was under hospice care. Born on the same property December 1, 1925, she was the daughter of Aaron B. and Annie Stoltzfoos. She was the youngest of seven siblings. She was preceded in death by, Aaron, George (died in childhood), Thomas, James, (Elizabeth), Sam (Hilda) and Simeon
(Fannie). The last eight years she was the only living person in her family.
She had a keen interest in news and current events over the years. She kept detailed records of births, baptisms, and deaths of her family. She had 97 great and 122 great-great nieces and nephews. Her hobbies were rug-making, poems, and gardening. A few years ago Sarah was still driving the Amish and enjoyed her clients. Her nieces and nephews actively cared for her these last years and will miss her dearly. We would like to thank all the church people, neighbors, and caregivers who stopped by to brighten her days. We would also like to give a heartfelt thank-you to the Ed Stoltzfoos family (nephew) for giving her a place to call home.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Weavertown Amish- Mennonite Church, 2900 Church Rd., Bird-in-Hand, PA, on Saturday July 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. Viewings will be held at her home at 281 Hess Rd., on Friday, July 1 from 12-4 p.m. and at Weavertown Amish-Mennonite Church from 6-8 p.m.
