Stephen K. Esh, 83, of 386B Lynwood Road, Bird-in-Hand, passed away at home on Monday, October 27, 2014. Born in Bird-in-Hand, he was the son of the late Emanuel and Elizabeth King Esh. He was the husband of Lydia S. King Esh. Stephen was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: nine children, Amanda wife of Jonathan King of Gordonville, Leah wife of David Lapp of Ephrata, Levi husband of Anna Mae Ebersol Esh of Pequea, Emanuel husband of Maryann Riehl Esh of Lancaster, Elizabeth Ann wife of David Stoltzfus of Narvon, Naomi wife of Bennie King of Leola, David husband of Elizabeth Esh Esh of Conestoga, Steve Esh, Jr. at home, Eli husband of Elizabeth Fisher Esh of Willow Street; 67 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Emanuel husband of Katie Esh, Melvin husband of Naomi Esh, both of Delta; two sisters, Rebecca wife of the late David King of Gap, Elizabeth wife of Aaron Beiler of Christiana; a sister-in-law, Hannah Esh of Kirkwood; a brother-in-law, Levi King of Gap.
He was preceded in death by: two grandsons, Allen Lapp and a stillborn grandson; two brothers, John and Levi Esh; two sisters, Sadie King and Barbara Esh.
The funeral will be held from the late home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM EST with interment following in Beiler's Cemetery, Ronks. Friends may call at the late home from the time of this notice until the time of the service. Kindly omit flowers.
