Stephen U. Fisher, 86, of 35 N. Soudersburg Rd., Gordonville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Born in Gordonville, he was the son of the late Elam S. and Sarah E. Stoltzfus Fisher. He was the husband of the late Sarah Stoltzfus Fisher who died in 2003. He was a farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by: eight children, Allan S. husband of Priscilla Lapp Fisher, Anna Ruth wife of John B. Stoltzfus, Stephen U., Jr. husband of Anna King Fisher, Ivan S. husband of Lydia Esh Fisher, all of Gordonville, Linda Ann wife of Samuel A. Esh, Jr. of Paradise, John D. husband of Fannie Stoltzfus Fisher of Ronks, Elsie Marie Fisher at home, Mervin J. husband of Fannie Beiler Fisher of Narvon; 34 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are: eight siblings, Saloma wife of the late Benjamin S. Fisher of Ronks, Rachel S. wife of Daniel S. Fisher of Christiana, Levi S. husband of Barbara Bell Fisher of Lancaster, Barbara L. wife of Christian K. King, Lydia S. wife of Wilmer S. Stoltzfoos, Sarah E. wife of Jacob S. King, all of Leola, Malinda S. wife of Emanuel S. King, Fannie S. wife of Abram P. King, both of Gordonville; sister-in-law, Fannie Fisher of Paradise.
He was preceded in death by: two sisters, Susie S. Fisher, Mary A. Lapp; three brothers, Isaac, Elmer S., and Elam S. Fisher.
Funeral services will be held from the late home on Friday, September 12, 2014, 9:00 am EST with interment following in Beiler’s Cemetery, Ronks. Friends may call at the late home from the time of this notice until the time of the service. Kindly omit flowers.
